AI4EOSC to offer an easier access to the European Open Science Cloud
The AI4EOSC Project, led by IFCA, will result in easier and simpler access for scientists to the European Open Science Cloud.

“The idea behind the project is to exploit the already-existing computational resources at European level”, explains CSIC-IFCA’s Álvaro López, AI4EOSC Coordinator. The aim, he adds, is “providing a very simple access to users who don’t need to have advanced knowledge so that these resources are used in an efficient manner with the ultimate goal of creating an exchange place where these apps and models can be shared with other users and scientists”.
This will ultimately increase the number of services in the EOSC and enhance collaboration among researchers.
AI4EOSC, running until August 2025, will also offer more intuitive services for the European research community thanks to artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning.
The project has been funded by the European Commission and has gathered 10 members from all across Europe: CISC-IFCA (Spain), the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Slovakia), the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (Germany), the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), Predictia (Spain), the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (Portugal), the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (Italy), MicroStep-Mis (Slovakia), the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań (Poland) and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry (Poland).
