AI4EOSC users can now deploy a pre-trained AI model from the AI4EOSC Marketplace in the EOSC EU Node

The AI4EOSC platform offers users multiple options for deploying their AI-based solutions for inference: serverless (using the OSCAR platform), using the user’s own cloud resources or using AI4OS dedicated resources via the AI4EOSC dashboard.
A new feature also allows module deployment directly in the EOSC EU Node resources.

For this new feature, two deployment options are currently supported: deploying in a container (OKD-based) and in a virtual machine (OpenStack-based). Deploying in a container provides fast deployment times, but it doesn’t provide access to the execution environment. However, when deploying using a virtual machine, the deployment time required is longer but it allows full access to the execution environment. In this way, European researchers are provided with flexible options to deploy the AI models developed by AI4EOSC, supported by the free computing credits available through the EOSC EU Node.

The EOSC EU Node is the digital portal for the EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) initiative.
